Birthday, Honor Roll, and my brace

I now have a one year old baby girl. She is getting so big. Her brother tried to show her how to use her new toy. She got so messy with her cake and ice cream. She has been crawling now for two weeks. She is pulling up to her knees.

Isaac was on the B Honor Roll for First Quarter in third grade. We are so proud of him and his accomplishments.

Becca was caught with having good caracter last week. She is so excited and we are so proud of her.

I have been to KC and back to get my new brace. We will be going back to KC in about three weeks to decide if I am going to have surgery again. The brace make my foot swell more all the time. It hurts more to stand still, but it doesn't hurt as bad to walk.

Updates

Okay the kids have had two sets of allergy shots. Becca actually thanked the nurse after the last shot. She said it hurt but it is good for her.

I went to KC last week. I brought home a brace to wear to bed. I will go back in about 2 weeks to get a brace made for my foot. I will go back 2-3 weeks later to see the doctor to discuss how the brace is doing. If the brace is not helping we will be scheduling another surgery on my ankle. He will take a tendon out of the back of my knee and put it in my ankle to give me more muscle mass.

Please be praying for us. This all has been very trying on us all.

We will be having a yard sale starting Thursday - Saturday if you want to stop by and see what we want to get rid of. We really need to get rid of this stuff, so that we have more room.

Birthday Boy

My husband turned 34 today. This wonderful man that God brought into the kids and my lives. I don't know what we would do without him. I hope he has a wonderful birthday. He took the day off to spend with us. We are not much fun with Jordan being cranky from the tubes. Baby Happy Birthday.

Update on Kids

Jordan had surgery on her beautiful ears this morning at 8 am. She came through it just fine. I am looking forward to her being able to crawl, pull up, stand, and sit up on her own. I was informed on Tuesday that the fluid was keeping her from doing these things.

I got the results of the kids allergy testing yesterday. Isaac is allergic to cats, beef, and highly allergic to a fungus, the normal high is .35 and his is 55. Becca is allergy to wasps and a different fungus.

My kids will start weekly allergy shots on September 18. My kids will hate me for a while. This shots will be weekly for a while. Please pray that my kids don't get to bent out of shape about the shots and they don't hurt to much.

My Kids

I have had a long week. Three kids sick at some point. Becca had a double ear infection, she still has a tube in her left ear. Isaac had croup on Saturday, every time lately we have taken him to the doctor we have had to add a medicine to try to get his allergies in check. Jordan was diagnosed with a double ear infection, throat infection, and sinus infection on Thursday. Thursday night her fever got up to 102.4. Then on Saturday night her fever got up to 102.6.

Becca and Isaac gave blood today for testing for allergies. Jordan is going to have tubes put in her ears on Friday. She had a hearing screening today and she has a moderate hearing loss. She will be fine. I am going to probably be wreak on Friday, so if you all think about please pray for us.

I am looking forward to getting to the bottom of all this and to see what God does through all this. We serve such a good God. We are fully trusting Him thru all this.

First Day of School and a 10 month old

Yesterday Reuben and I took the older two to school for the first day. Becca is now in Kindergarten, that is hard for me to believe. Isaac is now a third grader, that is even harder to believe. My baby is now 10 months old, she is get so big. She is not crawling or trying to pull up yet, but I am not concerned. She didn't sit up until last month. She is doing everything at her own pace, which is fine with me.
Reuben is working on another class for college on Counseling. I am looking forward to being able to go through the book when he is done.
I am going to Kansas City in September for my ankle. I hope the doctor and figure out what is wrong with it.

Updates on Us all

Hi all,

We have been so busy and school has only been out 3 weeks. We are have a blast with T-Ball and Baseball this year. I will post the kids pictures later.

Isaac is at Cub Scout Camp. He left this morning and I already miss him. He has been so helpful this summer so far. He ended up having a wonderful fourth quarter in Second grade. We just loved his teacher.

Becca just completed the second week of Summer School, she is going because she wanted to. She had a wonderful time in Pre-School, she had an awesome teacher. We could not have asked for a better teacher for her. They were matched up wonderfully.

Reuben just finished his text book for his first course for college. He is loving being back in school. We are filling in right now at First Assembly in B-town. Last Sunday was our first Sunday there, we are looking forward to seeing what God is going to do in this church.

Our home church has a new pastor, he is a friend of ours. He has know me for over 13 years. I can not wait to be back at our church on a Sunday morning and here him preach as my pastor.

My foot is doing about the same right now. I am waiting on Workman's Comp to get back to me about the trip to Kansas City. There is a chance I will not be taking that trip, we just have to see if the doctor will take my case. The Dr. in Springfield said that I am only 2% disabled and Workman's Comp said it has to be at least 15-20%. I have been advised to start the paper work on disability, but I am going to wait and see what comes of Kansas City.

Jordan is getting so big. She will be 8 months old on Saturday. It seems so hard to believe, seems like just yesterday she was born. She is cutting her two teeth on the bottom, rolling over and trying to crawl. She will be so mobile so soon, I am kinda dreading it.

I am trying to come up with solutions for a Yard Sale; we have so much stuff to get rid of since the move. I am trying to see if it is worth it and to see how to have every thing out, we don't have any tables. If any of you have any ideas please let me know.

I will talk to you all later.

Updates

Hi all,

Here is what is going on in our neck of the woods. I have had to get older my baby is now 6 months old and my wonderful son is now 8. It just seems like yesterday he was born, but now I also have two girls. I will post later about his pregnancy and birth.

My husband is a college student again as of today. I am so excited for him. He will finally be getting the dregree he has always wanted, but this will be a three year long adventure.

My foot is about the same. I have to take a test to see how disabled I am and then my doctor is going to release me. I will probably not be able to work at the Y any longer because of my foot. The next step is to go to Kansas City to get a third opinion. I know my God is in control and He will heal me in His time.

Prayer and Advice

Hey all,

I talked to Workman's comp today and they informed me that my Doctor is getting ready to release me in this state that I am in. He believes he has done all that can be done for my foot. For the next two weeks we are going to try pool physical therapy, to see if this will make me stronger faster. The Physical therapist says they are not through with me yet and two more weeks will not be enough. The suggestion has been made for me to get a third opinion. The Physical therapist are say at this point I am 75 to 80% disabled in that ankle. Please post and let me know what you think. I am leaning on arms of My Heavenly Father.

First week of baseball pratice

Hey all,

My husband probably wants me to get my head checked. I am coaching two baseball teams for this season, not by myself with other coaches. I really suffered through the first practice last night. I think my co-coach on that time saw how much pain I am in and will take it easy on me this year like he did last year, at least I hope so. The other team, my daughter's team, just had their practice canceled because of the rain. I am not driving except when I have no other choice. It hurts for me to push on the brake. Physical therapy thinks that is strange.

This week

I am looking forward to this week to see what God is going to do. It seems like every week something is done in our lives thru Our Heavenly Father.

Jordan has been running a fever since early Saturday morning. I called the doctor's office today and they said she will need to be seen if she is still running the fever on Wednesday or she starts pulling on her ears.

I had a friend killed in an accident yesterday, his family is going to need our prayers. I have known this family for years, he was two of my brothers' Scout Master. He was a wonderful man. He is leaving behind his wife, two boys, and grandchildren. He will be sorely missed in our community. I will keep you updated on what God is doing in my family this week.

I hope you all don't think that I am only whining because I am don't doing this as that. I am wanting to show what God is doing in my family to His Glory.

Cold Tangerines

Hi all,

I am doing a review of the book called Cold Tangerines by Shauna Niequist.

The book is wonderful. If you can get your hands on a copy do it. There are short segments about her life and what she is going thru right then like a blog. At this time in my like this book was just what I need to read. I loved seeing how God was working in her life through everything that she went thru. The day I finished the book I found out that two people that I know have passed away. The first was a Pastor of my husband and the second was a good friend of my family, someone I have known for years. And the book just brought that to a more impact on my right now with her going thru the deaths in her life in the book. I have learned while reading this book to live in the moment to wishing tomorrow would come and then I would live.

Updates

Hi all,

Sorry it has been over a week since I posted. The kids were sick all of Spring Break. The only fun thing that we did was go get Ice Cream on the day every one was well.

We had Easter at our house with my father-in-law and just us. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

I got an update on my foot today. I will not be going back to work for the month of April. The doctor is talking about putting my on permanent restrictions. If I don't improve a lot this coming month. He will be putting a restriction of not being on my foot longer than 5 to 10 minutes. I don't know how that would work with three kids, coaching to baseball teams this summer, and just having fun with my family. If I get this restriction will not be able to go back to work, I don't know if that is good or not.

I know my God is a big God and HE WILL HEAL ME! I just don't know when. I am completely trusting Him on this whole thing.

First Day of Spring Break

Today has been so hectic and the kids are not having fun. They have been arguing and not getting along as normal. I hope I can do something fun with them this week. I wish I was upto driving. I also wish I was upto going to Silver Dollar City this week. I don't think I would last very long at all. I don't even walk around the store at Wal-Mart or Country Mart yet. I am looking forward to a week of having time with my kids. Pray that we can do something fun this week.

Isaac

I am so proud of Isaac he got all E's (A's) but one that was for Math and that was a S (B). He is so smart. The teacher wrote a note on his report card saying she wants to see his full potential in the 4th Quarter.

Monday

I have had a very eventful day. I had PT at 1pm, then Becca had her Kindergarten Shots at 2:15 pm. My Physical Therapist is very encouraged with my improvement. She was sick all last week and I had fill in Therapists.

Becca and I had a wonderful time last night painting our nails. We did her toe nails and we did all of my nails. She has made realize I need to be more girly. I am so glad God has given me a girly girl.

I am really looking forward to MOPS tomorrow. We are having a organizer speaking. That should be very informative.

Snow

Well we didn't get any snow. My kids were disappointed again. This is the second time this week we thought we were getting snow and it did not show up here. They are not the only ones that have wanted a snow day this week. I have went to bed both nights expecting to wake up to snow the next morning.

I had my fourth day of PT today. They are pushing me harder everyday. I am so sore when we are done. On a happier note I haven't used my crutches at all today.

Snow

Tonight we could get 2-4 inches of snow. My kids are excited about the possibility of no school tomorrow. I will keep you posted.

I had my third PT appointment today. My foot hurts so bad. I am walking on it more now. We are praying for a miracle.

New to this

Hey all,
